Dhammananda centre
Dhamm±nanda, meaning ‘Joy of Dhamma’, is on the outskirts of Pune city about 30 kms from the railway station. Near the pilgrim town of Alandi (8 Kms.) at a village called Markal, on the bank of the Indrayani River, the centre was established in March 1997.

Dhamm±nanda is located on a 23-acre plot on the banks of the Indrayani River, in peaceful surroundings of farms and villages. Presently, the centre can serve 54 male and 32 female students. The Dhamma Hall can seat 175, as well as a smaller mediation hall for discourses.
Presently, the centre hosts around 22 ten-day courses and two Satipaµµh±na courses. Future
expansion includes increasing capacity to serve 175 students, to implement rainwater harvesting
and solar water heating as well as to undertake landscaping, tree plantation as well as to build
roads and pathways.
