Dhamma Bhavan, meaning ‘Mansion of Dhamma’, is located at Kalindi Park, Near
Kailash Park, about three kms away from Vadodara Railway Station and about six kms
away from Vadodara Airport.
Established in April 2004, Dhamma Bhavan was formerly a residential house of an
assistant teacher, until the Vadodara Vipassana Trust purchased it. Presently used as a
Dhamma Activity Centre, Dhamma Bhavan has a large living room and five bedrooms
with attached toilets. It has a Dhamma Hall in the basement, apart from a terrace, veranda
and an open space for garden. Upon renovation being completed, it will have a library and
a place for presentations on Introduction to Vipassana. It has rooms where visiting
assistant teachers can stay.
The Activity Centre would also help workshop in Pali Language in the near future.
Dhamma Bhavan will have an extended Dhamma Hall and in future, it has been decided
to construct a Dhamma Hall in the terrace, as well. Being an Activity Centre, no 10-day
courses are held in the premises. However, monthly one-day courses and camps for
children are being regularly held, apart from group sittings. Dhamma Bhavan also serves
as residence for Dhamma servers in the region.
